(Salmon Arm Spring 2009)

   Supporting local women with a chance to build their self esteem,
   essential skills and personal power in 5 days of intense training

              Women are the backbone of many parts of our lives, of our society.
              They are the hearts of our families. Many of them are the caring hands at our bed in healthcare, the teachers educating our 
              children and the kind faces that greet you at the till of many a store.

              They are also the most abused, least appreciated and least paid in society.

              Many have lives that have eroded their belief and confidence in their abilities, in their potential and their inherent right 
              to live a great life.

              The Positive Power Project is aimed at the group of women who can use a boost. A boost in their self confidence, 
              their self esteem and in the skills they need to more fully live up to their potential. The confidence and skills to step into 
              roles in society that they enjoy and that will benefit our communities.

              The Positive Power Project is a 5 week, 1 day a week training program.
              It gives these women a wide range of positive experiences and teaches skills like positive (self) talk, listening, conflict 
              resolution, decision making, goal setting and follow through, how to dress well for little money, team work and self care. 
              It looks at what their passions and dreams are and how they can take the first steps in that direction.

              The training is provided by Wouter van der Hall, MSW (management, education and coaching) and accredited The Human 
              Element®, Myers Briggs Type Indicator® and True Colours® trainer. Wouter offers his time for this five day training.

              How you can help a local woman (in Salmon Arm BC) get a chance at success.

              To increase the impact of the training the women need to have experiences like we all have when we attend training or a 
              conference. We experience a professional training room, coffee/tea and donuts, lunch and the respectful treatment of 
              facility staff; and a binder with the materials. We want these women to experience this too, so they can feel great just by 
              being there and increase their desire and their belief that they too can enjoy this part of life.

              You can help give these women, who have had a hard time in life, this great experience and contribute to having a group 
              of women feel better about themselves, about their chances in life and about their community. Giving these women that 
              learning experience, that extra dimension of the coffee, the room, the lunch, will cost about $ 150 per person for a five day 
              training that can change their lives.

              You can sponsor one local woman and give her this chance of a life changing experience for only $ 150.

              You can sponsor a participant by yourself or share a sponsorship together with others and of course you can sponsor 
              as many as you would like.

              Your name (and business if you provide the information) will be put in the binder participants receive as a sponsor. 
              We will inform you of the program and participation by email, if provided.
